March - June 2020: JDRF Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation
The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation aims to find a cure for Type 1 Diabetes. They strive for funding innovative research to advocate for government action to provide a support structure for our communities. The powerhouse team in Washington, D.C., works with volunteers across the country to secure government support for innovative research. Experts collaborators work with other regulators and health plans to help the entire community benefit from treatments and therapies.
We have worked with the JDRF club at Horace Greeley High School in Chappaqua NY to raise money for the JDRF directly. We advocated within our own community and ran multiple pop up shops and online stores. We were extremely successful and we hope to work together again in the future. A huge thank you to the entire HGHS JDRF team; Avery Schwartz, Caroline Chizack, Olivia Camhi, Lauren Kassin and Kelsey Raich - you guys are amazing!
